How do I clear the chat history of a conversation?

You can delete all messages in a conversation for 1:1 chats on Session. This will clear the chat history for that conversation on the device you are using. It will not clear the messages for the other user, and it will not delete them from other devices you may be using. The other user will not be notified that you have deleted all messages in the conversation. You can also delete the entire conversation itself, or you can delete the user's contact. 

Here's how to clear all messages:

iOS

1. Open the conversation that you want to delete all messages from.
2. Click the display picture icon in the top right-hand corner to open the conversation settings.
3. Tap "Clear All Messages" and confirm.

Android

1. Open the conversation that you want to delete all messages from.
2. Click the display picture icon in the top right-hand corner to open the conversation settings.
3. Tap "Clear All Messages" and confirm.

Desktop

Note: It is currently not possible to clear all messages in a conversation on Desktop.
